What else does one do in the depths of winter surrounded by the never ending gray/white scenery but shop for $1,000 in plants!?
Here’s why it’s a gamble: we don’t know if the $1,000 in plants from last year will survive the winter and the fall trim.

The most exciting and scary part of this entire experiment is this could be our retirement business in a few years. It’s not that far away! We want to have the kinks, learning curves, education and experimentation under our belts while we still have our careers. We want to turn this experiment into a passion and money maker. Doubtful we will get rich off it but it would be great if it could supplement our income or pay for the expenses and upkeep.
So while I write this latest blog, I keep plotting out what species of Lavender will be the final selections to fill in the last of our prepped fields! It’s very scary and exciting!
