We lovingly planted 404 little, tiny Munstead and Phenomenal plants on Saturday June 10th. We liberally watered them before we left on Sunday and started praying for rain!
We did get rain, everywhere but the farm once that week. So frustrating! I can empathize with how farmers feel when they don’t get rain. Obviously, our situation is on a much smaller scale and our farm is not our livelihood (yet).
We watch our local weather hoping and praying for a change. I’ve never been so obsessed with something!

Rick has traveled 1.5 hours each way to water the plants twice already and noted only one plant has died. If we can make it through this summer with minimal loss, it will be a miracle! 🌈🌦️
To top it off, between all the stooping, bending, and kneeling and anxiety, I went to the ER this week with heart attack symptoms! Ugh. I was fine – at least they determined I wouldn’t die that day. Maybe it’s a pinched nerve, maybe it’s another case of Lyme’s disease. I’m waiting to see a doctor next week now.

We just keep moving forward and doing our best everyday!
